Gabe Steel vs Dash Halley, Jobberpaloozer 27: Both Hands Tied Behind My Back (BG East)

I like the image of newcomer Dash Halley bouncing in the ring, waiting for his opponent. Dash is well built, pale as a love letter, and doomed. That last point is inevitable. Dash's opponent is Gabe Steel, well built in ways that will take Dash a couple of years to match. Gabe makes a flashy entrance - truth be told, all his entrances are flashy. His toothy smile is immediately recognizable.

Dash suggests that Gabe voluntarily handicap himself with leather straps tied behind his back. Without flinching, Gabe agrees to the condition. Both hands, not just the one. Gabe advises the newbie to tie the straps tight. If the straps get loose, it will be "funtime" for Gabe. There's more to Steel's cocky grin than meets the eye.

Gabe kicks high but misses his mark, Dash's chin. Dash pulls in close, catching Gabe in a side headlock. Gabe shoves Dash into a turnbuckle. Dash pushes Gabe into the opposite turnbuckle, cockily slapping him and punching him in the face and ribs. Several times. Evidently Dash is auditioning for heel status. By now we all know where this is leading.

Even handicapped, Gabe is able to kick Dash's shiny ass with a reversed choke. Dash is losing oxygen. His arms flail wildly as if looking for something to hold on to. With Gabe's dynamic move, I think we can safely guess where this match is heading. As the fight approaches its midpoint, Gabe has shed his cuffs, royally demolishing the upstart rookie with ease. Let the hair pulling and balls-grabbing begin!

Dash has wasted his hope-spot card. Gabe scrambles him like breakfast. In the end, a piledriver ends Dash's hopes. Gabe leaves him spreadeagle, looking dead on the spot, having paid the piper. Gabe exits the ring, all smiles.
