Jett Bentley vs Rex Bedford, King of the Ring 3: Gone Wild! (88Wrestling)

88 has been on fire this fall. After a long slump midyear, the recent surge in performance quality is  the product of many hands, but it's in large part due to the return of the champion Rex ("I like to hurt people") Bedford to the spotlight. Last year Rex pried the King of the Ring title out of Ethan Andrews's able hands - in a match whose third round is an acme in the history of sweat. I make no apologies for slavering over this guy. He's a great athlete and a relentless roughneck who puts his back into everything he does.

Here he takes on one of the company's newer hires, Jett Bentley, in a title defense that, in the end, turns into a grueling  two-against-one ambush. October's sensation Cody Everett jumps into the fray 20 minutes in, saving Jett from a ruthless over-the-knee backbreaker that could have ended young Jett's ring career. Together Cody and Jett tear into the King of the Ring in a confrontation that very nearly leaves the King of the Ring title in limbo. It does not, but it does open up some tasty possibilities for what will happen next.

Rex is in tiptop condition. His power moves illustrate the crippling capacity of his muscle while simultaneously showing off the sculptural beauty of his physique. Whether hauling Jett up on his shoulders while rising to his feet from a kneeling position or climbing the corner ropes to press his shin to the back of Bentley's neck, Bedford reminds me of childhood dreams of Hercules shouldering the heavens  or a jungle lord transfixing his foe against the mossy crook of a tree. And I never get enough of armbars that utilize an adversary's arm to allude to the metaphorical girth and length of the wrestler's dick, while making the poor guy wince and shudder in pain.

  1. Thanks for the review. I have a question about this match, the answer will let me decide whether buy this match or not. Did Rex or Jett perform suplexes ?
