Alex Costa vs Brad Honeycutt, Catalog 17 - The Muscle Boys Call the Shots (MuscleBoy Wrestling)

In the spirit of letting the wrestlers call the shots in Catalog 17, MuscleBoy gave Alex Costa his choice of opponents. According to the catalog, Alex "specifically requested a muscled pretty boy to beat up." MBW supplied him with a smooth bodied stud who (here's the kicker) is also a trained pro wrestler. It takes 31 minutes for us to find out whether this is Alex's dream match or a case of "be careful what you wish for." In the end, though, viewers are treated to a slow and sweat-drenched 3-count that's about as sexy as a finisher can be, short of XXX porn.

I love the unique opportunities a wrestling ring provides, but my personal preference is mat wrestling in a confined space. MuscleBoy's black and orange fight space strikes me as ideal. It emphasizes the intimacy of mat grappling. Its unspecified location gives the matches there a no-one-can-hear-you-scream quality. The outside world is far away, perhaps even light years away. For claustrophobes like me, the compressed space is an added stressor - almost as if the wrestlers have been dropped into an iron vault and cannot leave until one of them has kicked the other one's ass.

Brad is a lucky find. His taut, smooth, and eventually soaking wet body appears to glow in the black-sheathed room. He has an intelligent face, almost like he's a math teacher by day and a scrapper by night.  His moves are dynamic and extravagant, and he seems to know, by training or by instinct, how to transform a fight into a story. For me, though, the revelation here is Alex, who has never been as forceful and shrewd as he is in this match. After two years and three months at MBW, Costa comes into his own in the sort of fantasy brawl I have always imagined for him. It's messy, volatile, rough, and mean. It's not perfect, but its small imperfections are not what my cock will remember tonight.
