Bull Barrett vs Johnny Greco, Catalog 19 - Muscle Boys Go At It (MuscleBoy Wrestling)
I bet it would be fun to go clubbing with Bull Barrett, the new guy at MuscleBoy, who battles fellow newcomer Johnny Greco in their debut. He's a tough guy who's also smart, which I find makes for good company when barhopping. Johnny is exceptionally juicy if you hadn't already noticed. Still, I'm more fascinated by Barrett, who might have felt at home in TV wrestling's golden years with the hyper-masculine likes of Antonino Rocca, Hans Schmidt, and Bob Geigel. He's built big and thick, perfect for blood-and-guts sports.
Technically this is a give and take match. But the stretches between turns are longish and mechanical, as the wrestlers take turns as the aggressor - Bull beats up Johnny for a few minutes, then Johnny beats up Bull, and on and on. I get no sense of either man attempting to defend himself while under attack. The one getting beaten up is acquiescent until it's his turn at the wheel again. Of the two, Bull Barrett is the better heel with more tricks for making a man suffer. And his three-sizes-too-small tiger-print trunks provide the right amount of erotic subtext.
However, unlike most of MuscleBoy's other product, Barrett vs Greco avoids romance and XXX action, and that's fine with me. I like eroticism as a side effect of aggressive wrestling, not the other way around. (For the record, I greatly enjoy MBW's pornier contests, but fire-breathing roughnecks whupping ass is a far greater aphrodisiac for me, unrepentant perv that I am.)
Both these guys are at their best when Barrett is in control. His kicks and punches go full bang. When he uses his limbs to bind Greco to the point that the handsome Greco can't move an inch, I physically sense Johnny's frustration. Johnny suffers slightly better than he punishes, though he punishes Bull with genuine relish.
The match consists of blows and binding holds, with more focus on causing pain for its own sake than submitting or pinning the adversary. The action heats up as Johnny and Bull get used to each other. The contest finishes with a jaw-dropping piledriver and a super-crotchy cradle, well worth watching in slow-mo.

I enjoy these GIFs. Particularly #4. I would have like to see even more of Greco working over Barrett.
