Cakewalk

Ethan Axel Andrews vs Brendan Byers, Sexy Showdown 11 (BG East)

Nobody is allowed to beat EAA, presumably according to federal law. That goes double for a mat match. Andrews is one of the best mat grapplers (likely THE best mat grappler) in the business The mat is not exactly new territory for muscle-monument Brendan Byers, but his record (especially in his pre-buff days) is hardly as distinguished as Ethan's. Brendan's chances drop considerably when he announces - to Ethan's face - that beating the ubiquitous underground fighter will be a "cakewalk."

Ethan is better known for his baguette than for cake, and though his response to Brendan's boast is mild amusement, it's a safe bet that, whether he wins or loses, Ethan will be smashing at least one of Brendan's creamy rum cordials before the match is over. The match itself is more even than I expected with Ethan's knowhow butting against Brendan's rock-solid brawn. The give and take is mind-blowing - four reversals in the first minute! Halfway through the match, the wrestlers are still neck and neck, and then exhaustion and sweat give the slowed-down showdown its sex appeal.

The grinding holds are held longer, some a minute or more in duration, the bodies almost fusing together. Earlier a handle for leveraging control, the crotch becomes a target. The attempt to unman while striving for dominance is insanely hot! Neither has looked so vulnerable and then so invincible by turns. Sensual and brutal, the match takes the Sexy Showdown series to the limit.

  1. Joe, I enjoy and often agree with your musings on wrestling. But I absolutely love your prose. You write elegant and uncomplicated prose. That is why, 9 days out of 10, your blog is the first thing my mind reads in the morning.

As for Ethan being a stellar mat performer, I agree entirely. The best? Hmmm. Not sure. A legit mat match between Axel and Eli would be dramatic and exciting. Axel would have a 30ish pound weight advantage. I wish UCW would relaunch the FCL series. Those were great matches.
