Cash vs Igor (Bro Battle)

My favorite here is Cash, in red, taking on Igor from Brazil, in gold. We watched Igor earlier this month, attacking fellow newcomer Dante Bello in front of this exact same fireplace. Cash checks off several points on my desirable list, including wrestling experience, ruddy skin, and fully functioning sweat glands. The match begins with classic TV-style announcements and the antagonists stripping off their outer wear to reveal heaps of piping-hot muscle. (Sidebar one, pulling off robes or T-shirts should be mandatory in underground wrestling. Sidebar two, followers of underground wrestling will likely recognize the announcer.)

Igor extends his hand in a gentlemanly show of sportsmanship, and Cash takes it in the same spirit. Then the American pops his pecs and claps his hands, ready to get down to business. Cash crashes Igor down to the mat, burying muscle under muscle. The grunts and the moans start immediately, as Igor seems caught offguard by his opponent's alpha-male aggressiveness. He manages to break free, but within seconds Cash grabs him by the knees and dangles him off his shoulders.

Cash is obviously enjoying himself. He plops Igor down on his back, and with a foot on his opponent's chest, Cash strikes a victory pose just three minutes into the twenty-minute battle. The gesture is only slightly premature as a proper tap-out soon follows. Igor launches the second fall with an armlock, but he finds Cash's hard body and hairy-chested energy extremely difficult to manage ... for most of the contest, in fact.

I love the way the camera floats over the bulgy surfaces of the wrestlers' bodies and catches the action at a low angle, suggesting (with some justification) that the wrestlers are giants in an epic fray. Cash sets the pace of the battle by taking the offensive. He makes sure his South American pal has plenty of memories and mat burns to carry home with him.
