Zack Reno vs Derrick Cole, Match 800 (UCW)

Derrick Cole is up to something. Zack Reno knows it. Reno pulls up the mat in search of foreign objects, like the chloroform handkerchief Cole wielded against him in September, the first of two extraordinary Reno-Cole matches last year. Cole claims that Zack's messing up the mat and tucks everything back in place. Still suspecting the worst from Cole, Reno continues the search, only to be attacked from behind as Cole forearm-smashes his back. Grab your balls, boys, we're in for a tough one!

Both these guys can be trusted to put up a great fight, especially against each other. Cole never fails to light a fire under Reno's butt, and Reno never fails to punch the crap out of Cole. They tangle, roll, heave, crack, slap, and twist with reversals faster than the eye can follow. Neither gives the rulebook much thought, not even Eagle-Scout Zack Reno. And a sprawling mat room gives them plenty of space to brawl. Derrick tries to crater UCW's newly repaired wall, where many a wrestler has left his mark. In the last shot above, Zack thwacks Derrick's head like a tetherball.

Both men last out the fight to the end, with one man on his feet, but shaky, and the other man not stirring. Even without foreign objects, these guys know how to butt heads and crack bones, but, yeah, there is a foreign object, too.
