Joey Nux vs Steve Mason, David or Goliath?! (Wrestlingmale)

Like many stories of perseverance, the eye and the camera witness little of the struggle, in this case, Steve Mason's struggle against man of iron Joey Nux. There are small spasms of resistance, immediately squashed by the bigger man. Joey bears down on Steve, and the two are almost motionless for minutes. Joey weighs 220 pounds, muscles, most of it. Steven weighs 163 pounds. Do the math.

Often, Joey collapses onto Steve's body, and Steve is out of commission for a couple of minutes. Steve strains to wriggle free, but if you can barely move, escape is a lot to ask for. I liked this match. I enjoy observing long, sweaty, almost motionless struggles between men. Steve's desperate rush in the seventh GIF above is short-lived, but admirable, Mason has heart, all right.

The match is shot in the BG East facilities in Wilton Manors, Florida, but the dominant vibe is Wrestlingmale's. This fight is free of fantasy and comic relief. We get a look at how much 57 pounds affects a fight in the real world. Sometimes it reminds me of the video of a python swallowing a deer whole. It takes time, making it all the more mesmerizing and terrifying.

  1. Too bad Joey Nux is a right-wing, conspiracy-theorist, racist Trump supporter.
Makes him a LOT less sexy.
And I won't be buying any of his videos.

  2. The chemistry between Steve Mason and Joey Nux is amazing. I enjoyed so much see Joey punishing Steve. Steve loves to be owned by a big muscle man. we definitely need a rematch with an erotic punishment between Steve and Joey. This is definitely the Steve era of Wrestling Male.

  3. It was basically 35 minutes of Joey Nux completely owning Steve Mason.I love how Steve loses all ability to fight back, he was so exhausted and aroused. I never get tired of seeing all those sexy noises and faces that he makes while being dominated. At this rate, pretty much any Steve wrestling match is a must-buy for me.

  4. I missed a real competitive match like this, which is hard to see today in underground wrestling.
I think Steve could have won if he had changed his strategy despite the weight difference, it looks like he had made Joey sweat.

Steve had adhered to the BJJ rules while Joey hadn't, as Steve grabs Joey from the guillotine and Joey slams him to the ground to break it (stomps are not allowed in BJJ).

If Steve hadn't been on his guard he could have flipped Joey over or tried to reach his back because he is fast, but Joey was using the weight to his advantage to weigh him down.

However, it was a great fight by both fighters.
