Krush Forever

Spanish hotshot Steve Mason faces off against all-American Krush on Krush's home turf, More often than not, things do not go Steve's way, but he is a grappler in the purest sense of the word. The guy likes to choke, ride, and roll his opponents. Like any grappler worth his salt, he likes to hurt people, and credit must be given to the man for picking on bigger, more experienced wrestlers. He often takes and survives a hard licking, which speaks highly of his love of and commitment to the sport.

Krush is the model of a self-invented man. Not only does he inscribe his name in the company name, but with very rare exceptions, he is on the mats or beds in all the matches. Krush and Mason may be more alike than they realize. Both men have created their own wrestling world, centered on their strong feelings for mat grappling. Who wins and who loses seems less a concern for them than the pulsating excitement of man-to-man combat. Yet I write that knowing full well how hungry these guys are for wins, the stronger and more agonizing the better.

As the advertising copy tells it, this match was intended as a tryout, a private match for kicks. But the fight's so hot, they turned on the camera and shared the turmoil and commotion with fans, specifically fans who prefer tough matches to cute ones. Thirty-six minutes of "headscissors, chokes, ankle locks, and face to face body pounding" (and mouth- and nostril-stretching - see the sixth gif above) is real underground wrestling, aimed in the right direction.
