Brandon Aldrich vs Chuck Hollick, Rec Room Battles 18 (NHB-Battle/Movimus)

Here is Brandon Aldrich (green and black briefs) at his peak, tall (6'), heavyweight (187#), and 23, accepting a challenge from Chuck Hollick (black briefs), 6'2", heavyweight (205#), and 22. This is Hollick's only appearance at NHB-Battle. He's a honey tan, handsome, and beefy young man going up against a wiry grappler. I don't know why he was a one-timer, but the product description hints that he didn't like competing against someone lighter than he was. The description hints that there might be a rematch, but I don't see it in the Movimus catalog.

As for body contact, the match is not a hump match or a rip-and-strip contest, but it gets me hard nonetheless. The pelvic thrusts in GIFs 5 and 8 are innocent, but assertive enough to hold my attention. The takedowns are rough and tumble, as are the headlocks. Both men break a sweat about halfway through the battle. The bearhug (GIF 5) pushes all my buttons.

A few sites got close, fewer were as good as, but nobody was better than NHB-Battle in capturing the raw fervor of grappling. I praise Movimus for preserving and, in some cases, restoring these gems, which are erotic without trying, much less trying too hard. These matches are our Metropolitan Museum of Art, Uffizi Galleries, and British Museum.

The matches were unscripted and unstaged. There were no storylines, no trash talk or talk of gear and girlfriends. It was all thrillingly about wrestling. Wrestling, in and of itself, was central. In those days, dudes of all sizes, lifestyles, and training made their way to NHB-Battle to test their skills or experience a no holds barred match.

  1. Oh, how I miss NHB-Battle! Movimus Era isn't bad, but it ain't the same (I do credit them for preserving the NHB catalog). NHB's original team understood that if you just let the grapplers grapple, the sexiness will be there on its own. I also like that while their guys were handsome to a man, they were not models. No one today is really even trying to do what they did. It's a shame. I like other wrestling, of course, but I will forever crave more of their old stuff.

    1. This is what I'm talking about since forever. NHB-Battle was unique, and it's very sad that wrestling videos like these are now a thing of the past.
