Morning Wood

Both Axel and Claymore have roots in NHB-Battle (now Movimus), which, if you don't already know, consisted of honest-to-God combat. This match has the heart and soul of a brawler. The action is slow yet malicious, reminiscent of Chinese drunken boxing, as I see it - fighting in a manner that simulates slackness or drunkenness, feigning imbalance and vulnerability to catch one's adversary by surprise. I could be off course, of course, but Claymore's samurai man-bun lends a little support to my interpretation.

The slow, slacker assaults and "inebriated" fight style are sexy as a morning hangover tussle under a blanket, a setup not entirely foreign to me. I love Axel's sexy, casual, sleepy-eyed punishments and Claymore's instincts for reeling and clobbering. I'm not sure why UCW didn't release this drunkenish brawl earlier. It's hot, maximizing muscle-on-muscle rolling and kneading. Axel is at his best when casually crushing an opponent between his thighs while looking blankly into space. His blasé expression seems to say "Hurting you is easy and boring."  And you can bet that any licks Claymore gives him, Axel will pay back with interest.
