A great ring fight like this one consists of a number of properties - opponents who are well matched in size and skill set, contrasting personalities, revealing trunks with palpable bulges, utilized corner ropes, flamboyant attacks, bare feet, and revenge. On the one hand, Kal is noted for his cool manner and patient dismemberment of his opponents. Jason, on the other hand, is big-dick-energy incarnate with a hot temper. This is about both men's most perfect match.

Both are accomplished mat fighters, too. Mat wrestling is a style that's close to the mat, and this match employs the best feature of mat wrestling: tight, hard, merciless clenches. Jason and Kal "work stiff" in this battle. Not quite Goldberg stiff or Steiner stiff, but stiff in maximizing body contact and drawn-out battering.
