Fourth Trial for Archie

Archie Paige vs Lobo Gris, Catalog 49: A New Era (MuscleBoy)

Archie vs Lobo is my favorite of the quartet of matches dubbed "A New Era." Prejudice figures into my ranking because I'm wild about both these hunks. Lobo has been tested over the years since his debut at the original UCW. And I have watched Archie evolve into the sharp battler he is now - and this battle finds both wrestlers at important turning points in their MuscleBoy careers.

This match shows us Archie ready to shed his jobber role and Lobo making sure Archie stays right where he is at MuscleBoy. Despite their cross-purposes, Lobo and Archie show respect for each other and for roughhouse wrestling. Archie has shown progress from his debut against Brendan Byers (a total squash job that nevertheless put Paige on the map) to his match with Monstah Mike (which showed Archie's tenacity against a bigger, tougher, and hairier fighter - ultimately losing) to his May 2024 match (dealing Jack Bailey a hard and thorough thrashing).

Needless to say, Lobo Gris is a big obstacle, way more experienced than Paige but also a genial sparring partner. Both young men are super-hot and dedicated to underground wrestling in general. This match is near perfect in its balance of no-holds-barred fighting and erotic heat.
