Austin Tyler vs Ethan Slade, Catalog 13 - The Muscle Boys Never Back Down (MuscleBoy Wrestling)
Austin Tyler doesn't do nude, much less penetration. He even refuses to wrestle in oil. He draws a firm line between the sort of wrestling he does (straight-up mat grappling) and sex wrestling. He skirts the R- and X-rated matches MuscleBoy is known for. However, I do not think or even suspect that he is homophobic - I assume the opposite, and he obviously knows the nature of the underground wrestling companies he has worked for (until recently). Yet I contend he blurs the very line he insists on.
Here he takes on Ethan Slade, a strikingly beautiful gay porn star. The match is competitive, and Austin maintains control through most of it. Ethan gets a couple of fleeting hope spots, but for most of the 33 minutes, Austin is fully and brutally in charge. Eroticism is understated, but it's palpably a part of this match.
The ways Austin enforces strict limits between legit wrestling and wrestling porn are as sexy as the X-rated free-for-alls. It's not teasing exactly, though it's not not-teasing either. There's an element of suspense in the interaction that imbues it with a special frisson. Sometimes he draws the line verbally, letting his opponent know up front what the boundaries are going to be - "no oil match," for instance. Other times, he pushes his horny opponent away, forcefully if necessary.
His best tactic is to bind his opponent's body so tightly with his own that the opponent cannot (literally) make a move - but how tantalizing it is to be bound not with cuffs or ropes but with the taut muscles one longs to touch! Or what secret pleasure a chinlock offers when Tyler's ear brushes up against Slade's or when Slade feels Tyler's hot breath against the back of his neck! And even a forearm smash to the forehead is bearable with the sure knowledge that the handsome brute is focusing his passion and attention 100-percent on his opponent!
Subtext is everything in Austin's matches at MuscleBoy. His resistance to the obvious ways of making a match "sexy" or "gay" is, ironically, the main reason his fights pack so much erotic m4m heat. His tough-guy resistance to overt eroticism is the ultimate having-sex-with-a-butch-straight-dude fantasy. Ethan plays it up for all it's worth, thrillingly vulnerable (in my opinion, Slade's best match ever), and I bet dollars to doughnuts he whacked off good and hard at the end of the day. I sure as hell would have. I sure as hell did.
