Axel vs Cole Dallas, Match 835 - Sleeper Match (UCW)

Look who's back and look who's got him! Cole Dallas appeared at UCW in early 2021, took on Lobo and Reno, popped up again in a "lost match" in February 2022 to take out Michaels, and then vanished. Now he's back, taking on Axel in another "lost match." Axel puts up one of his best fights in this sleeper match, which is less about sleep than clobbering, crotch grabbing, and eye gouging.

Both these guys have farm-boy good looks, which brings to mind back-of-the-toolshed fantasies. Cole carries more weight and muscle, but Axel has taken on almost everybody in underground wrestling here and at other promotions. To him, Cole is one more rooster whose neck needs wringing. The mismatch works mainly because of Axel, but Cole appears to like rough play and does a damn fine job of it here.

As for the sleeper, it's the high point as the match nears its end. It's a two-minute double sleeper with both men layered onto each other - very hot - and both applying the sleeper on the other guy. Who puts whom to sleep? Each has his forearm pressed to the other's throat, second to second they add more pressure to the hold, both are resilient, and then, with mere seconds to go, one arm weakens and falls lifelessly on the mat.
